Freshly caught hooligan from last night. Jonas even caught one with his bare hands!

Winter again?

May second and quite a lot of snow fell. By this evening it turned to rain, but there had hardly been any snow left on the ground. I hope it doesn't snow in June. However, this snowman was happy to have been made by Jonas. Those are his legs sticking out in front of him.

His pops taught him how to make a fried egg, and so it is now naturally his choice for breakfast. A safe choice for testing out a little more independence.

There was no wind, so Jonas had to run to make his kite fly.

My uncle and Mal installing a new stack for our woodstove yesterday. I actually couldn't watch them working, heights make me very nervous; it does not even matter if I am not the one participating. So the first picture was snapped very quickly. Now our home is actually too warm most of the time, but it is a wonderful thing not to have to rely on too much oil. Also, to sit by a fire and knit has to be one of the best things in life. I love that John Denver song that goes..."it's the little things that make a house a home, like a fire softly burnin', supper's on the stove, it's the light in your eyes that makes him warm...".

Spring!

It is only officially Spring here, when one can ride a bike; and Eoghan decided it was now the right time to learn. He cant wait to get out and practice everyday.
